Types of Fields

There are various types of fields:

 Basic fields

Fields that are defined by the data set that is used to build the template on.

 Pseudo-fields

User-defined fields that are not part of the data set. They can be used to perform calculations or apply formulas on basic fields.

 Metadata fields

Fields that are not part of the data set, but are always included for every template. They contain information about the template, user, time, project, etc.

Further, the Flow Execution Properties are enabled under Metadata fields. The list below provides detailed information about each field:

  • execution id - The ID of the flow execution that triggered this step.

  • flow execution name - The name of the flow execution, typically a shortened version of the record name from the host system where the flow execution originated.

  • flow name - The name of the flow that is being executed.

  • flow ID - The ID of the flow that is being executed.

  • project name - The name of the project that owns the executed flow.

  • project ID - The ID of the project that owns the executed flow.

  • request start time - The start 'date-time-stamp' of the execution.

  • current time - The current 'date-time-stamp' representing when the step is executed.

  • project time zone - The time zone used by the project.

  • user name - The username of the user who is executing the flow.

  • user email - The email address of the user who is executing the flow.

  • user first name - The first name of the user who is executing the flow.

  • user middle name - The middle name of the user who is executing the flow.

  • user last name - The last name of the user who is executing the flow.

  • user id - The (Smart Flows) Id of the user who is executing the flow.

  • user role - The Smart Flows role of the user who is executing the flow.

 Pseudo-relations

Fields that define a relation between two fields. You define these yourself.

 Resultsets

Groups of fields that have a filter applied to them.
