To maximize return on investment and optimize security, customers are advised and encouraged to stay up to date as new releases become available.
Smart Flows minor software releases for cloud deployments generally ship quarterly.

Release Announcements
Release announcements are typically sent 7 days in advance to a designated "technical contact" email address.
On Prem customers and Private Cloud customers with an On Demand plan are notified as soon as a new release is available. Regular Private and Shared Cloud customers receive an upgrade planning announcement.
Best Practice:
Use a distribution list as your technical contact email address to simplify internal routing of new release announcements.
When issues are discovered, they are fixed in either the next minor release or, in urgent cases, a patch release of the current minor. In the event of an urgent deployment, cloud customers receive an intervention report after the upgrade, while On Prem customers receive a recommendation to upgrade urgently.
Experlogix Documents releases
In contrast to Smart Flows, Experlogix Documents follows a continuous deployment cycle with more frequent update cycles but smaller increments.
