Project Settings Users Tab

The Project Settings Users Tab allows you to review the users associated with a project. Users with sufficient permissions can also invite users to the project from the Project Settings Users Tab.

Field

Function

Name

Displays the full name of the user and email of the user. Names are not mandatory during registration. The NAME column only displays if the name value is completed during registration by a given user.

Groups(s)

Displays each of the Project groups that the user is a member of. If a user is a member of a group at the organization level and another group at the project level, only project groups display within this view.

Invitation Status

Displays the current invitation status for a user with the following statuses: 

  • Accepted: user has received the email and registered ,

  • Pending: user has received the email but did not register yet. When an invite is pending, an Administrator can resend the invite.

+ Invite user(s)

Opens the Invite user(s) window to allow users with sufficient permissions to invite new users.

Procedures

Inviting Users to a Project

Users with sufficient permissions can invite additional users to the project via email.

A user can only be invited once within the same scope (application, organization, project.) If you wish to invite a user with a different access level, you should instead add the user to a different group of permissions via the Permissions tab.

Example: Jean Yannick has been invited as a project owner to project ABC, and the invitation status is pending. If you invite again Jean Yannick as Project contributor, the invitation will fail to send because Jean Yannick already exists. You should instead go to Permissions tab and add Jean Yannick to the Project Contributors group.

To invite a user:

1. Select the + Invite Users button.

The Invite users window displays.

When adding user emails you can separate addresses via commas, semi-colons and spaces. The User(s) email list field supports both types and pasted responses. Use the Enter or Tab key to add emails to your list.

2. In the User(s) email list field, input the users you wish to add.
3. (Optional) In the Language drop-down menu, select a language for the user.
4. In the Group drop-down menu, select a group for the user(s).
5. Select the Send invite(s) button.

The confirmation message "Users invitations sent" displays.

The invited user(s) display in the Users List view as pending.

Inviting Owners to a project

1. Select the Project settings tab.

2. Select Invite Users.
3. In the Invite Users dialog, in the User(s) e-mail list field, enter the e-mail address of the owner you want to invite.

When adding user e-mails, separate addresses using commas, semicolons, and spaces. The User(s) e-mail list field supports both typed and pasted responses. Use the Enter or Tab key to add additional e-mails to your list.

4. In the Language dropdown menu, select the language to use for the invitation.
5. In the Group dropdown menu, select Owners option.
6. Select Send invite(s).

The new user receives an e-mail with a welcome link in it.
